Galltfaenan Hall

A way of life, not just a placement

Galltfaenan Hall has been supporting adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs for over 40 years. We offer residential and respite care for up to 32 people, in a Grade II listed manor house set in its own grounds near Trefnant, Denbighshire.

We are not a town centre setting, and for many of the people who live here, that is exactly the point. Our location offers space, calm and a natural distance from the pressures that can make everyday life difficult elsewhere.

Our manager Rachael brings over 30 years of hands-on experience in learning disability and mental health support. Many of our staff have worked here for a long time. That continuity matters, to us and to the people we support.
Care Inspectorate Wales

Rated 'Excellent' for Wellbeing by CIW

Galltfaenan Hall was rated excellent for wellbeing by Care Inspectorate Wales. Inspectors found that dignity, respect and choice sit at the heart of everyday care, with people having real say over their own routines and personal plans built around what matters most to them, including Welsh language and culture.

A full activities programme, kindness from staff and strong links with family and community all stood out during the inspection. As one resident put it, "I love it here, they do their absolute best for me always."

Life at Galltfaenan Hall

What families say about us

We can't thank the staff enough at Carelaunch nursing home for everything they have done for our auntie/sister over the past 4+ years. From the excellent care she received, to the staff who were consistently kind, attentive and would go above and beyond for her. It really was a "home from home."You always made us feel so welcomed and gave us peace of mind that she was with you.

A home for life

There is space here to breathe. Gardens, grounds and a setting that gives people room to be themselves, at their own pace. Our approach is built on independence, encouragement and stability, and some people have happily called Galltfaenan Hall home for decades.
