Rachael Jones, our manager at Galltfaenan Hall, joined the company as a support worker at The Old Rectory in 1989. She was promoted to deputy manager, became manager of The Old Rectory in 1997, and was asked to take on Galltfaenan Hall a decade later. She has never left.
Across our team of thirty staff, many have worked here for years, some for decades. Staff turnover is low, and that is not incidental to the quality of care we provide, it is central to it.
People ask us what makes a placement work long term. Honestly, it is not one clever intervention. It is the same faces, the same voices, the same routines, year after year. When someone has been let down by change before, that consistency is what lets them finally settle. We have residents who moved in as young adults and are now approaching retirement, still in the same rooms, still supported by people who have known them half their lives.

We support adults from 18 upwards, and many stay well into retirement age. We do not offer dementia care, so where a resident's needs change in ways we cannot meet, we are honest about that from the outset.
